Nov. 17 - According to Taiwanese media reports, ASML has decided to step up its investment in Taiwan Province of China and will invest NT$30 billion in a new factory in New Taipei City, with about 2,000 employees moving in!
Not long ago, the Dutch semiconductor manufacturing equipment company ASML released news that it will set up a semiconductor manufacturing equipment technology base in South Korea. According to the public number China Semiconductor Forum, in order to secure the supply chain of the sophisticated field of semiconductors, ASML will establish a close cooperation system with customer companies by setting up technology bases in Korea and China Taiwan and other regions.
ASML, the world's largest photolithography supplier, is rumored to make the largest investment case ever in Taiwan in July 2023 in northern Taiwan. In this regard, ASML confirmed that the relevant investment project will be located in New Taipei City. However, the relevant details cannot be disclosed at this time.
ASML CEO said that Taiwan is now the world leader in the semiconductor industry and an indispensable leader in the global advanced process, as well as the world's largest EUV region.
